Place of the conference

Building of Faculty of Political Science and Journalism is located in modern building on Campus Morasko, north side of Poznań. The building has multimedia equipped lceture rooms, radio and television studios and two computer labs. The Faculty’s library is also in the building.

Adam Mickiewicz University

Adam Mickiewicz University is one of the major Polish universities which is ranked among top 3 universities in Poland. University was founded in 1919, but academical tradition were earlier when bishop Jan Lubranski founded Collegium Lubranscianum in 1518. Since 1955 University has carried the name of the great Polish poet Adam Mickiewicz. Almost 50, 000 students are studying at 15 faculties. Adam Mickiewicz University conducts research and offers courses in every major discipline of natural, social and human science

Poznań

City of Poznań is halfway between Berlin and Warsaw. Poznań is one of the largest cities in Poland with population about 600 000 and while with conurbation it estimate around 1,1 mln people. The thousand-years-old city is an important business, industrial, academic, cultural and scientific centre with very good connection to Warsaw and Berlin (highway, train) and to the most important cities in Europe (Poznań-Ławica Henryk Wieniawski Airport, POZ). The city is a host of Poznań International Fair. In December 2008 it was a host of United Nations Climate Change Conference and in 2012 it was one of host cities of UEFA Euro 2012.

Poznań is also a place of many historical landmarks. The Town Hall located at the Old Market Square is considered one of the most beautiful examples of European Renaissance.

Among many well-known people of science born in Poland are sociologist Zygmunt Bauman and political historian Ernst Kantorowicz.
